Building Study

I decided to go out out and paint some buildings around the area. I only took about 30 to 45 minutes painting each one. I often like to give myself time limits when doing or practicing something new. This helps me stay focused so that I can really learn the structure and movement of whatever I'm looking at. These were all done with acrylics on small canvas.

WORKING BY REQUEST!!!

Just letting everyone know who views my blog...i work mostly by request. just shoot me a message on my blog or email describing what you want(drawing or painting, type etc) if you want a portrait done of anyone or a pet.. attache a picture of whomever it is so that I have a reference! thanks!!!
FYI - ( my fees are low. we can talk in detail about pricing once I know more about what you want)

Sphinx

This particular drawing was done in charcoal and it's a portrait of a Sphinx cat. This client wanted everything to be grey except for the cats eyes and a very simple backround. The color photo is the picture I used as a reference. Unfortunately I do not have a picture of the finished drawing.

Waterfront

This painting was done using acrylic on white canvas. I used a lot of colors and ALOT of paint on this piece. I created an illusion of the eye by using heavy blotches to create shapes and movement in the painting. Doing this forces the viewer to stand back from the painting in order to see clearly was it is. Standing further away helps the eye separate the ocean from the cliff and the flower beds.

Andrew Glass Originals

This blog is just meant to showcase my artwork so that I can promote myself and get work! This piece was done in oil paint on canvas. I wanted to create something simple, a fantasy forest with an explosion of light and color in the sky.
